WINBOND-E 6.2 Install Instructions If you have WINBOND-E as one file, ie. a ZIP file, uncompress the file using PKUNZIP. You can uncompress into a temporary directory on your hard drive. Run SETUP from the Winbond-E update disk, or from the temporary directory created. You will be prompted for a directory. Also, you will be prompted for a program update or complete install or re-install. Note: If any virus protection software is running, life VSAFE, you may need to remove this for the installation to work. Note: Winbond requires VBRUN300.DLL. The SETUP1 program also requires this file. If you do not have this file, it should be available seperately from the same source that you got Winbond. Put this file into your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory before installing. Note: WIN95 users: If you receive a message that DDEML.DL_ is in use during setup, just select OK to continue. Follow the instructions during the setup for a complete installation. ********************************************************************* MANUAL INSTALLATION ********************************************************************* If the SETUP program fails for any reason, you can "manually" install WINBOND-E. Copy all the files from the diskette into a temporary directory on your hard drive. While in this temporary directory, type in "CONVERT". This will expand the files. Delete all the files with a "_". All files with an extension of .VBX or .DLL, and GSW.EXE should be put in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ directory and deleted out of your WINBOND-E directory. If any of these files already exist and have the same or later date, do not replace then. See READ.ME file for startup instructions if necessary. For an update, copy all the files into your Winbond directory: Files with a "_" (underscore) at the end can be deleted. *********************************************************************
